  • BMW 2002 FAQ

It does not matter if you have had your Vintage BMW since it was new or if you just acquired your first one, whether you have one BMW 2002 or many Neue Klasse cars sitting in your garage, whether it is dedicated race car, or concourse queen, or a crusty daily driver, BMW 2002 FAQ is the place for you.

Established on 02/02/2002, this site quickly became the primary resource for all BMW 2002 owners. Over time, dedicated forums and technical information were added for BMW Neue Klasse, BMW 700, and BMW 1600GT cars as The FAQ became the main stop for Vintage BMW owners in their daily routine.

The most active Classic BMW Forum is rapidly growing and has more than one million posts. There are over 300 Blogs that contain some of the greats of Race Car Builds and Restoration Project. The Article section has over 200 items ranging from BMW 2002 News and Event Recaps to FAQs and Technical Instructions. The Gallery contains over 500 albums with more than 6000 images. Wheels Database includes 150 wheels that will fit your car. Videos Collection is growing rapidly and has broken the 200 items mark. Seventeen location specific Clubs are striving. The calendar is full of BMW 2002 and Neue Klass related events, and the Registry is growing quickly.

The FAQ is owned and operated by a very small group of dedicated individuals, but the majority of the wonderful content is provided by its members. Members are our greatest asset. Members and their contributions make BMW 2002 FAQ what it is.

    Rear main seal clarification

I need to replace my rear main seal housing and have gotten through the step of removing the old one. Everything came together nicely??Engine is complete as a unit and united with the subframe. Car lifted up super high, you need about 33" of clearance not including whatever you're using to slide it under the car. I used low profile jacks to pivot it into place. Then grabbed the engine from the top using an engine crane, and pulled it up into pla

    Veronika’s Debut

Drove her down to Harpswell Neck to Pammy’s Ice Cream. Sunny & cool. My friend drove his 1930 Lincoln Dual Cowl Phaeton after a 5 year engine rebuild. Both cars garnered all the attention. The top down drive home was pretty cold.
